Goodbye Korea

Blogging from Incheon Airport, going home today. :) My flight is at 3.10pm so I'll prolly be back around 9pm plus? This trip wasnt particularly fun and we went to places that we went before, but I really like the weather here. It's cold and windy and I just love the winters. Some might argue that I only say that cause we live in the center of the Earth. I agree, but at least this way, we'll all appreciate winters so much more. Compared to people in America, or Europe, or even Korea, they might not like winter at all cause they have had it their whole life. I like Singapore, but with the four season, I'll love Singapore. :)

One day when I'm older, I hope to travel alone to these cities and exprience it differently then how I do now. Someday...

I've just finished re-watching Goong, during the one week that my mum left for US. I'm still amazed that I can still cry at the sad parts even though I watched it like 3 or 4 times already!

Synopsis:
Set in an alternate 21st-century reality where Korea possesses a royal family, this show revolves around the lives of the Crown Prince (Hwangtaeja) Yi Shin, and his new bride, Chae-kyeong. The depicted royal family in the show is modelled after the last royal family of Korea, which in reality reigned until the start of the Japanese Occupation in 1911 and was not reinstated after Japanese surrender in WW2.

The series starts off with the news that the King, Shin's father, is very ill. With the grim outlook on the King's health, the royal family scrambles to find a wife for Shin, so as to allow him to take over the royal throne if the situation requires. Despite being in love with another girl, the ambitious and talented ballerina Hyo-rin whom Shin initially proposed to (she rejects him to pursue her ballet dreams), Shin eventually marries a commoner to whom he was betrothed by his late grandfather in an old agreement with the girl's grandfather. Shin marries the headstrong yet lovable Chae-kyeong after Hyo-rin's rejection. Despite initially feeling nothing for Chae-kyeong, love eventually blossoms between the couple.

In the meantime, however, matters are further complicated with the return of Yi Yul and his mother Lady Hwa-Young, who was once the Crown Princess (Bingoong) before the death of her husband, the late Crown Prince, older brother of the current King. Yul and his mother were chased out of the palace some time after the death of his father, and it is later revealed that this was due to the King's discovery of an affair between Yul's mother and the current King who was his father's younger brother. Yul's mother had returned with a sinister motive in mind; to restore her son back to the throne, which would have been his eventually, if his father had not died. A series of events befall the palace with the schemes Yul's mother carries out, and is further intensified by the various scandals involving the royal family, which are inclusive of the Shin's continuing relationship with his old flame Hyo-rin, and the budding love Yul develops for Chae-kyeong, his cousin's new-found bride.

I also watched finish Sweet 18. I didn't know they were a couple off screen too. :) I think she is pretty but sometimes, when she smile, I think her mouth lines are too deep.

When the two meet each other, they clash horribly; Jung-Sook thinks her fiancee is nothing but boring, and Hyuk-Joon believes Jung-Sook to be nothing but an immature child. Despite all this they do marry. The rest of the series follows their life living together as a couple, and the obstacles they are faced with.

And there's this other Korean actress that I like very much. Her name is Jeong Ryeo Won. She's an actress, model and singer. She starred in What Star Did You Come From, My Lovely Sam-Soon and also the Epik High's One MV. I think she is SUPER pretty la!

The guy beside her is Daniel Henney. His father (American of British descent) and mother (American of Korean descent), so he's like mixed a lot of blood. I think he's acting is not bad even though he doesn't speak a word of korean. His dialogue are mostly in english and he always acts as the ang-moh. :) Oh by the way, he's Agent Zero in X-Men Origin: Wolverine.

I think that 黃騰浩 is like an asian version of Ryan Gosling. I think they actually look a bit alike! BUT, my favourite couple is still Channing Tatum & Jenna Dewan since Ryan Gosling & Rachel McAdams are no longer together. WHY! They looks so good together! :(

Yesterday, I watched some documentary with my little brother. It's name is Destination Truth. The series follows paranormal researcher Joshua Gates around the world to investigate claims of the supernatural, mainly in the field of cryptozoology.
I got so irritated halfway because there was this woman on their team that keep screaming at anything moving at night! I know I shouldn't say other people when I, myself, are scared of the dark. Thats why I dont follow people to the middle of the woods in the first place! She was with another guy to go find some bird that looks like an owl. When she heard the leaves moving, she kept screaming and shouting that she wanted to go back to the base. -.- If you are that scared, dont go in the first place!

ANYWAY, I think my lecturer hates me, cause i'm blogging in his class. :)

My life's been kinda boring and so everyday, I'm just going to school, watching shows and then going to sleep. The cycle repeats itself endlessly. Maybe cause I dont have assignments yet, I feel so bored. Yesterday, I went for my GEMS with Wangting and Prescilla. Luckily I had them, if not I think I would just rot in that 2 hours. The whole class was full of year 1s! I've been feeling very lazy to bring my laptop cause basically all my classes are at labs! So if I dont bring, I got nothing to do. :(

It's damn freaking nice! And Wangting's gonna watch it! I cant wait to find someone to watch with me, then I can talk to the person about the show. :D AND! I bought the books yesterday! So I can read and have something to do! :D

Only gonna upload a few of my favourites and the rest is on facebook. :) Sorry for the delay in pictures, I was quite busy this few days.

On PAMMY's birthday, we went to Singapore Flyer. Not to sit in the flyer, just to eat popeyes there. It took me quite a while to realise why they were playing "Popeyes" the cartoon. Haha. Anyway after that, we went to Marina Barage (first time I've been there) to fufill Pam's birthday wish. TO FLY A KITE. It was just a big field of grass and a lot of other people having pinics and flying kites too. In the end, the girls just ended up cam-whoring and only Jasmine was flying the kite. Pam joined in for a while but she got tired and decided to join us. And we bought nice donuts to go with. :D

LTC 09/10

Before Day 1
Sunday, we went to Sheng Shiong to buy all the food for LTC. We used 3 trolleys and we stocked up on one trolley full of can food and maggie mee. I think the people there think we all crazy to buy so much. Total about $280! After that, Shulin and I went to NTUC to buy more food before going back to school. After the sorting of all the food, we ate dinner together. I like Clementi's chicken rice! :)

Day 1
I think we slept at around 1 or 2 at the SAC. It was super cold and the floor was so hard. Lucky B and I grabbed a beanbag to sleep on but still it was like really freezing cold la! We woke at about 6:30am to bathe and get ready.I was with those that accompanied the campers. Wan, Leo, Daniel, Dehui, Xuanjun, Yuqin, Shulin and Huixuan. I think the campers quite fast already, only late 13 mins. Last year, I think we late about 30 mins la! We let them clear some of the punishments, filled the jerry cans and we were off to Pulau Ubin. After an uber long bus ride, we finally arrived at Changi. I ate Hokkien Mee and shared half a carrot cake with Daniel. Damn nice la, and only about $4.50!

When we reach the campsite, Zhenli, Bruce, Shulin and I went on the arranging of the hut. The rest set up the canvas and some went to play THE GAME. I like cycling to patrol, always like to shout all the "HORNET! WILD BOAR! FIRE! LIGHTNING STORM!" :)Dinner was a bit messy and I was a bit angry at certain things but in the end, everyone was happy.(I think) I went to sleep quite early that night, cause I was going to make Milo in the morning.

Day 2
It was pretty hot when I fell asleep but I remember waking up feeling cold. There was a huge wind and suddenly, our canvas flew up at one side. I was busy pushing all the bags in the middle while the others helped to fix the canvas. Right after we fixed it, it started raining. VERY HEAVILY. Those in the tent: B, Wangting, Brian, James, Hanfeng and I try to hold down the sides of the tent so it wouldnt fly off. Slowly, we fell asleep, STILL holding the sides.

Around 6:30am, I woke up to prepare the Milo. After breakfast, I cant remember what I was doing. :) HAHA! That afternoon, I remember I drank the coconut for the first time! IT WAS SO DAMN COOLING LA! I think I just lazed around at the campsite until it was time for dinner. After that, I made B a bit annoyed because I wanted the mosquito coil holder. I said "All the cool kids have it" and kept whinning for wan to give me his. In the end, Dave found one for me but B was already annoyed. Lucky I managed to hoax him before the nightwalk if not uh, I think he wouldnt talk to me liao.

Wan, Leo, Hermi, Bruce and Dehui, Jan, B and I were stationed at the starting point. We keep talking to the campers to make sure they stay awake but at the last man(Simoun), I was on the verge of closing my eyes already. After he left, I slept a bit on B's lap while waiting for them to come back and take their bags. Then we walked back to the campsite and squeezed in the canvas to sleep. B slept at the most outside and it also rained that night, so he keep complaining that they let him sleep in the rain. Haha, he and Daniel uh, squeezed me until I cannot sleep sia. I keep waking up to shift around.

Day 3
I was the only one in the campsite awake so I cycled out to pee. In the end, too scared to go in alone, so I came back. B woke up and accompanied me to make Milo and to pee. :) OH! Weiern and Tim came to find us that day and accomapanied Shulin back. In the afternoon, I said I wanted to shit, so B accompanied me to the jetty toilet. Then, we met all the others and drank coconut AGAIN. :) When we got back, the others were busy making the outdoor fire and I prepared for the Aunction.

Lucky got Hermi's help for the aunction if not, I think I dont know what to do. It was a little bit depressing cause some groups didnt want to bid for a lot of food. In the end, the leftover aunction points were added to the punishments points. I also dont know why they want to keep the aunction points for. We ate a lot of good food that night. Hotdog, Chicken Curry, Peanuts and Cream of Mushroom. :)

Then came Campfire. I made the cocktail for them, sang campsongs together and they presented the skit. In the end, all 3 groups present the same thing. Haha. We even challenged them "Ging Gang Guli"! Wa, I hate the Ompah part. Make people so breathlesss and I lost my voice because of that too. I went to sleep while they were clearing their remaining punishment. In my sleep, I also can hear them cheering sia. I think it was when they finishing, so quite loud. Then, it rained after that. -.- 3 nights all rain.

Day 4
I made the last Milo for the day. After breakfast, we packed up the campsite and got ready to leave Ubin. Since we all didnt bathe for 3 days, we stank up the whole bus and MRT. Some people sit beside us also keep covering their nose. The helpers had our debrief while the campers went to clean all the equipment and finally, it was POP. They went somewhere near moberly and let the campers said how they feel about the camp.Then, they threw the LTC shirt to the campers from the second floor.

After the whole camp, we all went to KFC to eat nice fatty food after maggie for so many days. We planned to surprise Wan with a cake after LTC. All the campers came around to sing Happy Birthday for him. Serene also came! :) Suddenly, we all decided to go to Alvin's house to play Rock Band. Serene, Wan, Zhenli, Wangting, Alvin, B and I walk to Alvin's house from Woodlands. It was like damn far la, I wonder how he walk home everyday. Rock Band is SUPER FUN! :D I like being the drummer.

My brother wanted Rock Band for very long too, so when my dad came back this trip, he bought Rock Band for us too! We got a drum, 2 guitars and a mic. 4 players. :) Now, you all can also come my house play! HAHA!

Money Crisis

As the title said, I am bothered with monetary dues. First LTC, then Wan's birthday, then Pam's and lastly, B's. And I'm only left with $80 bucks! HOW HOW HOW! Now my mum doesnt even want to help me pay for camp, so that leaves $60 bucks. Pam's present cost $69.90 and I'm left with negative $9.90 -.- And my pay hasnt come yet!

Someone tell me what to do? :(

Past, present, future - Which ones the best?

I wonder why some people like to harp about the past. Isn't it so much better now? Yes, sometimes I wished that I was back in Sec School where everything was better. I was slimmer, didn't have as much pimple and had longer hair but it's all the past. Now, even though I'm fatter and pimplier, I wouldn't want to change my life one bit to end up where I am right now. I have awesome friends, even more awesome boyfriend and that's what counts. I hope I can say the same for you. If you keep wishing the past, then I guess you're not happy with the way you are now. :)

ANYWAY, I'm going for to Jurong Safra to celebrate my little brother and cousin's birthday. Their actual birthday is 23rd but we're celebrating early. Guess where we're going? KIDSMAZE! :D I'm still a child because the age limit for child is 18 years old but adults can go too! Just more expensive nia. :) Shall post pictures when I get back. Want to change my skin too! TOO-TOO~

Was pretty bored at home, so me and my cousin, Rayson, were flipping to find a good movie to watch. In the end, I decided to watch 28 Weeks Later. In case you were wondering, it's post-apocalyptic horror film which includes human-eating zombies who always seem to have blood on their faces. The only reason I wanted to watch this was because of one person.

Life is a highway?

Went to fetch my Godma and her family from the airport today. 2 Weeks ago, one of my cousin who migrated from USA to Singapore, just went back to USA to finish his high school. It was a very sudden decision, one friday we just heard that he was going back on sunday and he wouldn't be coming back anytime soon.

Turns out my cousin, Rayson, who at first said he didn't want to go back to America, wants to go back now. If he goes back now, my Godma's family must pay $75,000 to make sure he comes back to Singapore to finish his NS because he is a Singaporean.

On the car ride home, my cousin, Joy, said that she has decided that her eventual goal is UCLA college in USA. She wants to try for a scholarship after her GCE "O"s and after she goes to ACJA Junior College. After hearing all those plans, I can't help but wonder where is my future? Recently, I've been having so much fun that I forgotten my aim, or did I even have an aim? B always says that I'm just cruising through poly. I don't like my courses or my modules and I'm just studying because my mum wants me to study. Well, it's true. I am only studying for the sake of my mum, who does it for the sake of me.

Told my mum about LTC on the 27th, and it brings up another conversation. She says that I always get involved with all the commiments in club and that I don't study. "If you can't get into U, then you come out and work." But I think that to her, it's a great dissapoint. Some may argue that you don't necessary have to go to university and that diplomas and degrees are all the same but in my family, if you don't get a degree, you are useless.

At my rate now, I doubt I can even go into university. I get a C or B at the most for every subject. No use thinking about overseas studies too because my mum says that if you can't study in Singapore, you can't study elsewhere either. So don't waste money.

Yes, this paragraph is all about my mum. Don't argue that my mum is controlling my life. I think what she says does have a point. The problem lies with me. I don't do things, I'm lazy and I always give up halfway. Why do I even bother to make resolutions like "I will study hard this semster" when I'll always end up breaking them?

What am I going to do now?
What am I going to do for the rest of my life?
Someone help me figure this out.
